Using these vehicles, you will transport specialist equipment for use on site, collect bulky waste, fly-tipped items, rubble, garden waste, supermarket trolleys and any other items that require removal and disposal.  </p> <p>Waste collected will be disposed of by Operatives in accordance with legislation and regulations at local amenity sites licensed to receive and process such waste. We aim to enable people who use the service to enjoy a good quality of life.</span></p> <p><span>SensePlus Portsmouth currently has two separate units, open Monday to Friday and is committed to working with people in ways that supports and maximises their independence and relationships.  To achieve this we offer meaningful, structured sessions, which are tailored to support people's goals set out in Personal Profiles for staff to follow.   The sessions use multisensory stimulation to aid engagement, participation, and positive outcomes for set goals. </span></p> <p><span><strong>Your New Role</strong></span></p> <p><span>Working as part of the team you will ensure that people who attend the service receive a day care package that reflects their personal abilities and skills and promotes further engagement, independence, wellbeing, and growth.</span></p> <p><span>You will be working with people who have profound and multiple learning disabilities, using multisensory stimulation to achieve positive outcomes for individuals.  You will be expected to follow and deliver structured session plans and record details of session outcomes for the service users; raising and discussing any concerns identified during sessions with relevant senior staff.  You will undertake complex personal care tasks as required following guidelines, risk assessments and using equipment supplied (training will be given).</span></p> <p><span><i><strong>Please view the full details on the role </strong></i></span><span><i><strong>here.</strong></i></span></p> <p><span><strong>What you'll need to succeed</strong></span></p> <p><span>You will need </span><span>sound knowledge and an understanding of the needs of people with PMLD and complex needs and the conditions commonly associated with PMLD.  You will have excellent literacy, verbal and communication skills which are essential as you will be required to maintain accurate and comprehensive written records for people using the service.  The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. You will have experience equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above in Social Care and will undertake the Care Certificate and specific qualifications made available that are essential to this post. In addition, you will need an OCN national qualification in Understanding the Needs of Individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) or the ability to successfully complete this qualification within an agreed timeframe.  With a calm manner and flexible approach, you will be able to deliver and follow set guidelines for personal care, and be able to complete, implement and follow Personal Profile Plans, session plans and risk assessments whilst supporting the Service.
