In total, we manage around 5,500ha of land and this includes managing both inland and coastal flood risk too.  We are a varied service indeed!</p>\n<p><strong>As part of the Facilities Management Team, the successful applicant will assist in the day to day care of the ‘aviary’ collection, which includes exotic birds, rabbits and guinea pigs, mainly rescue animals that have been donated or gifted over a number of years.</strong></p>\n<p>We are looking for an applicant who clearly loves working with and caring for birds and animals. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in a similar setting and have suitable qualifications in animal care.</p>\n<p>An excellent communicator, you will be an enthusiastic ambassador for the Service and keen to inform visitors to the Botanic Gardens about the collection and related topics.</p>\n<p>Applicants should be capable of undertaking a range of practical tasks such as daily cleaning and general maintenance of the facility.
