Making A Difference as A General Kitchen Assistant in School Traded Services.
We have a vacancy for a General Kitchen Assistant at Rainford High School. The hours of work are 12.50 per week. These hours are normally worked Monday to Friday from 12 noon - 2.30pm (variable to meet the needs of the service).
Our General Kitchen Assistants have an incredibly important role in the council delivering catering services across the borough. These services run throughout the local schools as well as local council buildings.
This role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the service, with possible changes in hours and duties to successfully complete the service requirements.
Our General Kitchen Assistants will be responsible for the day-to-day operations which include assisting with the preparation, cooking and service of food. As well as cleaning kitchen and dining room spaces before, during and after service.
Our team members require strong communication skills to work together with staff members and interacting with members of the public.
Those interested in this role will have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures in the kitchen environment and will comply with council policies.
