If you strive to #BeTheDifference and want to be at the heart of our change and improvement journey, then this could be the perfect job for you.</p>\n<p><strong>Street Cleansing & Grot Spot LGV Driver Operative x 2</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Fixed Term until 31<sup>st</sup> March 2025.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>\n<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a Street Cleansing & Grot Spot Operative, as part of the Waste & Recycling Team, within Environmental Services.</p>\n<p>You will carry out a full range of street cleansing & grot spot clearance operations, activities and associated tasks in parks and countryside areas, open spaces, highway network, alleyways & other Council maintained land and all associated sites using relevant vehicles, machinery (once training is provided), tools, equipment, and materials specific to the task.</p>\n<p>Work to be undertaken in an approved manner with emphasis on safe working practices having regard to colleagues and members of the public.</p>\n<p>The successful applicants will be depot-based working across various locations on the Wirral.</p>\n<p><strong>About the candidate:</strong></p>\n<p>We are seeking dedicated people to join the team carrying out street cleansing works within the borough, including removal of litter, debris, needles, bulky waste, glass, dog fouling, animal carcases, fly tipping, fly posting and leaf fall operations.</p>\n<p>You should have a variety of experience in tools and machinery use including mechanical sweepers and plant machinery; understand and demonstrate safe working practices, and be able to work both alongside a team, and independently.</p>\n<p>We are looking for keen, enthusiastic, self-motivated people, experienced in this type of work, capable of working and liaising with a wide diversity of people and experience in the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing and promoting street cleansing improvements on footpaths, alleyways, highway network, roadside verges, recreational & coastal areas, open spaces, and allocated sites.</li>\n<li>Working to scheduled work that has been set by managers.
