About the Job
Salary: £31,586 to £34,314 (Plus Shift enhancement)
Working Pattern: Split shifts on 4 week rotation
Contract Length: Permanent
Location: Hobbs Field, Horsham
Enhancements: Weekend working - Time & a half, Bank Holidays - Double time & Night enhancement (8pm - 10pm shifts)
The shift pattern includes alternate weekends paid at an additional weekend working allowance and is on a 4 week rota basis.

About Hobbs Field
Hobbs Field is a registered residential care home providing care and support for up to 15 people over the age of 18 who have a learning disability. The Hobbs Field staff team are working to produce new opportunities for people both within the service and through our links with local community groups and volunteers.
We support people to live the lives they want with a focus on "Active Support" to increase people's independent living skills.
Key Skills: (These will be used as the shortlisting criteria)
- You are able to interpret information, such as service complaints, and redirect them to the appropriate person to provide quick and accurate resolution.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- You will show the ability to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from the people we support and respond sensitively to their families and carers.
- Confident in building relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
- Enjoy working as part of a team completing shared tasks as required.
Qualifications and/ experience:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, in order to record and document activities in the provider plans.
- Basic understanding of the needs of the people we support and their rights as an individual.
- Demonstrable successful experience of working as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedure, Manual Handling - Desirable
- NVQ 2/Diploma in Care or equivalent qualification - Desirable
- Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or are vulnerable - Desirable
- Previous experience of running group activities - Desirable
