Our Team and Your Contributions:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established group as a Personal Advisor within a busy and highly motivated team.
As a Personal Advisor, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting Care Leavers post 18 and supporting them alongside their social worker. You will build working relationships with the young people in order to support them as they transition into adulthood.
Within the Personal Advisor role, you will be responsible for managing your own diary around the needs of the young people you work with. You will support young people to navigate health services, education provision and housing services to name but a few. This will include chairing meetings, devising Pathway Plans, attending appointments with young people and working with partner agencies.
The role will involve regular travel across the borough and sometimes further afield. Therefore, the post holder must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle. Where necessary, reasonable adjustments will be made in accordance with the Equality Act.
To apply for this post you must also have experience of working with children and young people and ideally have experience of working with children in care and care leavers.
