You will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with tenants within a defined geographic area, with a view to engaging their cooperation in paying their rent, working with other relevant agencies/services where required.<br><br>Ensuring tenants comply with the terms and conditions of tenancy or licence agreements, particularly as they relate to the payment of rent and former tenant arrears and that appropriate action is taken to prevent arrears accruing.<br><br>To carry out detailed and regular monitoring of individual rent accounts, taking appropriate action as set out in the Council’s rent arrears policy and procedures.<br><br>To use initiative and judgement in considering the most effective and appropriate methods to contact tenants such as by letters, telephone, text messages, emails and home and office visits.<br><br>To completed PCOL (DIY possession) - applications to the courts for tenancy breaches due to rent arrears.
