Planning Officer

Nelson Town Hall (Hybrid)

The successful candidate will deal with planning applications and appeals and advise applicants and agents at both the planning application and pre-application stages.
With the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines, you will be a graduate in planning or an associated discipline. Training will be offered to gain membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
A current valid driving licence is essential for this post. Commencing salary is subject to qualifications and experience.

This role is likely to be on a 'flexible' contract as defined by our Agile Working Policy. The minimum frequency for in-office attendance will be two or three times per week, however it could be more frequent based on the demands of the service. We therefore expect candidates to reside within a commutable distance from Number One Market Street in Nelson, Lancashire.
