As a Programme Support Officer for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority we will support your professional and career development, offering the opportunity to support a range of exciting and high profile projects across Transport, Transformation, Digital, Housing, Spatial Planning, Energy & Environment, Culture and Homelessness. You will support the delivery of projects to time, budget and standard, working as part of a team but also as an individual on your own initiative.
The role is based in the Delivery & Assurance Unit at the Combined Authority, which is central to the development and delivery of a diverse range of high-profile, large-scale projects and programmes. We have developed a standardised project management framework, utilising industry recognised project management methodologies, tools and templates to ensure our projects are delivered consistently and to a high standard. Additionally, we operate a competency framework, to support learning and development across the team. We act as champions for the profession across the City Region and are passionate about delivering high quality projects for the City Region.
About the person
Working as one of our Programme Support Officers is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start a career in Project Management. Mentored by one of our more established Project or Programme Managers, you will support the effective administration and monitoring of key projects and programmes.
We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills who can influence stakeholders and build relationships, can demonstrate financial awareness and budget management expertise, and can compile concise reports and briefing documents for audiences inside and outside the organisation. You’ll be highly methodical, understand the lifecycle of project delivery, and be a natural collaborator.
