In this post you will support the Council’s Community Safety and Emergency Planning functions. This will include arranging internal and multi agency meetings, taking minutes and distributing paperwork.
You will also assist the Principal Emergency Planning and Community Protection Officer in responding to issues reported by the public, processing invoices and purchase orders, developing new projects, organising existing projects and in reviewing plans and policies. This will include organising and participating in our youth safety scheme – Crucial Crew.
As the team manages the public space CCTV contract this role will also assist with queries for CCTV footage.
About you
You will have experience of organising and taking minutes for meetings, and will be competent in using Word, Excel with the ability to be trained in new packages. Professional and good communication skills are also important given the number of partners this role will be in contact with. Also important is having good workload planning and organisational skills.
