The Southfield Trust is seeking an outstanding teacher to take on the role of Trust SENCO. As Trust SENCO the successful candidate will work with the Trust Senior Leadership teams to lead and manage:
The Southfield Trust comprises 4 outstanding special schools in Eastbourne, one of which has The Southfield Centre, a specialist facility to support the needs of pupils with complex medical needs. The Trust educates around 550 pupils from 3 to 19 across six sites in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
We are committed to inclusivity, lifelong learning and to ensuring that our learners are equipped to succeed at every stage from nursery to further education and on into adult life.
The position requires a successful teacher with the skills and expertise to work with all members of our school community to support the achievement of the best possible outcomes for all our pupils / students. The ability to negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority is essential. Experience of supporting pupils / students with SEND and their families / carers is essential as is a working knowledge of the EHCP review process. The ability to build successful professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is very important. Strong candidates will be committed, organised and resilient.
