The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to the post of Senior Pest Control Officer on a permanent basis.
We are inviting applications from candidates who have a Royal Society of Health certificate in Pest Control, BPCA Diploma or NVQ, as well as a full driving licence and experience in the full range of pest control duties.
Main duties of the post:
- Deputising in the absence of the Business Manager, including the allocation of work, provision of commercial quotes, ordering of materials and attendance at meetings
- Assisting with the identification and treatment of pests in domestic and commercial premises. This involves identifying infestation, assessing the extent of infestation and treating accordingly. This will include the preparation and laying of pesticides on site i.e. baits, poisons, traps, ensuring disposal of vermin and any follow-up treatment
- Undertaking rodent control in the sewers and drainage system. This will include routine baiting of drainage systems and rodenticide treatments on a regular basis and liaison with other service areas as and when necessary
- Deputising for the Stray Dog Collection Service, kennels, enquiries, in liaison with the Commercial Manager
