East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and East Sussex Public Health are working together to reduce child accident risk through the Child Safety Equipment and Advice commissioned service.<br>\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of delivering the commissioned service from receiving referrals, booking appointments and delivering the advice element of the service alongside a contractor who fits any appropriate safety equipment.<br>\nYou will be responsible for developing interventions to protect children from accidental injury in the home through project development, implementation and collaboration with relevant partners to mitigate risks.</p>\n\n<p>With the appropriate training, you will be able to offer prevention advice on the dangers and consequences of fire and other safety matters including Water, Road and health related safety to educate all those you make contact with whilst delivering a high-quality service.<br>\nYou will have experience in working with families with young children and able to offer fire and accident prevention advice. Appropriate training would be provided. The role would suit someone with a child social care and health background<br>\nYou will be responsible for managing the contract to achieve agreed performance indicators, completing monthly reports and attending quarterly meetings with commissioners. Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.<br>\nEducated to GCSE level or equivalent, applicants will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to provide a high standard of client-focused service.
