We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Business Support Officer/Administrator to join our bustling Business Support Service. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving positive outcomes for the people of Newham while contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
From Housing and Environment to Children’s and Adults’ services, our Business Support team delivers top-notch administrative expertise to a range of critical Council services. As part of this energetic team, you’ll tackle varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, making every day exciting and rewarding.
In a department of over 90 Staff we are pleased to offer the following opportunities.
- 21.5 hours permeant in Adult social services business support.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with the following attributes:
- Proven ability to adapt to shifting work priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Strong emotional resilience and the capacity to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Excellent minute-taking skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- High-level oral and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage a personal workload.
- Methodical and logical approach to problem-solving and task completion.
- Versatility in managing a wide range of administrative and clerical responsibilities.
- Advanced IT proficiency, with the ability to quickly learn and utilise new systems and tools.
- Flexibility and adaptability to collaborate effectively as a team member in a dynamic environment.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding or social care services is desirable.
