EXPERIENCED ART THERAPIST

Are you that someone special who would like to join our exciting SEND advisory service?

The SEaTSS Service is a large dynamic SEND Team based in Redbridge. SEaTSS supports students from 0-25yrs with SEND across the Local Authority. This includes specialist advisory teachers across all 4 broad areas of SEND, specialist HLTAs, specialist technicians, and more.

The Medical Inclusion Service has recently become part of the wider SEaTSS service within the local authority. We are looking for highly skilled specialist staff who are passionate about Inclusion to move the medical inclusion service offer forward, in order to ensure that our most vulnerable children and young people access a high quality educational offer while they are unable to attend school.

We have a short video here to give you a flavour of us and what we do:

We have a vacancy for a fully qualified Art Therapist (BAAT qualified).  The role is new and will be part of our new Medical Inclusion Home Tuition Service.  Our ethos is child focused but committed to understanding and supporting our children to reintegrate into school.

If you are a fully qualified Art Therapist with a record of excellent practice working with young people with SEMH, behavioural and/or mental health needs and are prepared to work within homes when required, if you have great verbal and written communication, excellent interpersonal skills, efficient and accountable record management and have a flexible and child centred approach this may be the role for you.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 17th or Friday 18th October 2024.

To apply for this post please complete the online application form and attach your CV and a Covering Letter addressing how you meet the criteria for the role as stated in the person specification.

All short-listed applicants will need to demonstrate proof of right to work in the UK. At the London Borough of Redbridge, we receive a high volume of great-quality applicants, we therefore may close a vacancy earlier than advertised. Early applications are therefore encouraged.

We are committed to employment practices that promote diversity and inclusion in employment and welcome applications from qualified applicants regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sex, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, colour, race, religion, or belief.
