Your Mission:
As a Communications Officer, you’ll:
- Create Impactful Campaigns: Plan and deliver proactive and reactive communication campaigns to achieve strategic business outcomes.
- Champion Employee Engagement: Develop innovative communication methods to enhance workplace culture and promote organisational goals.
- Content Creation: Craft engaging materials across multiple platforms, including the internet, intranet, email, newsletters, and social media.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across all levels to understand their communication needs and deliver tailored solutions.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with the council’s vision.
- Producing the council’s staff newsletter, coordinating with managers and teams to deliver relevant and engaging content.
- Writing and distributing press releases and spotting opportunities for positive media coverage.
- Creating professional marketing materials and digital content to promote the council both internally and externally.
- Measuring and analysing the success of communication initiatives to refine strategies.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on public relations, media, marketing and communications.
- Collaborating on corporate projects and supporting the wider communications team when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and a flair for storytelling across digital and traditional platforms.
- A strong understanding of the latest communication tools and trends.
- A proactive, collaborative, and inclusive approach to work.
Qualifications
It is essential that you hold a degree or qualification in a related field namely Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or Business Management.
