Shavington Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, committed and effective Site Manager to join our hard working and enthusiastic team.
As the Site Manager you will be a key player in ensuring that the school environment is safe, warm, clean, and welcoming. You will be responsible for the effective management of the school premises and will provide support for our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) project.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the school premises, including repairs and improvements
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Serve as a key holder, ensuring school security is maintained
- Oversee contractors
- Involvement in our project to enhance outdoor play and learning
- Take pride in the school environment
The successful candidate will have:
· A positive and solution focused approach to work
· Good working knowledge of site management
· Experience of working with contractors
· The ability to maintain accurate records and risk assessments
· Excellent DIY and handy skills – for example, basic decorating, carpentry, or plumbing skills
· Good computer skills, or the willingness to learn to use various systems
· The ability to communicate well and work in a team

Hours: 37 hours (7am to 3pm) Monday to Friday
Weeks: 52.143 (all year)
Salary: Grade 6 (SCP 12-17 £27,712 - £30,061)
