The Governors of Cambridge Nursery School are looking to appoint a full time Early Years Level 3 Practitioner to join our team. The successful applicant will be working as part of our friendly, hardworking, enthusiastic team, ensuring the delivery of integrated early learning and care, in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
We are looking for a person who can inspire all of our children to be independent, confident and reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will be innovative, enthusiastic and conscientious. They will have a professional approach to their work, be committed to supporting our inclusive vision and help us to achieve the next level of success.
The successful candidate will:
* be an excellent practitioner, with sound knowledge of early childhood development and of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
* have extensive knowledge and experience of, and commitment to, working with young children.
* participate in providing a stimulating and secure learning environment that aims to support the children to achieve their full potential, this includes children with social, communication difficulties and complex medical needs.
* promote and support active involvement of parent / carers in their children’s learning and development by building and maintaining effective relationships.
* assist in promoting an inclusive environment that welcomes diversity of cultures within the community and supports the individual needs of children and families.
* attend and participate in regular meetings as requested.
* attend training as part of personal and professional development.
* work alongside other practitioners, participating in the planning and assessment of the development and learning of the children.
* actively participate, as directed in the delivery of a creative and innovative range of play and learning experiences, indoors and outdoors.
* provide a learning environment in which children are encouraged to explore, investigate and initiate their own play activities and learning experiences.
* be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure that the children in their care achieve the best possible outcomes.

Due to the nature of the work the above post is exempt from the provisions of rehabilitation of Offender Act 1974 and relevant case/safeguarding legislation and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate.
As this role is in regulated activity, it requires a children’s barred list check.
Appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
